You could make a lilliputian jig (happy st.Patrick'due south Day ) like this to concord the round tile in identify on your wet saw.

Property the petty piece with one fingertip tin can be tough, just don't lose the fingertip!

Might work on a snap cutter as well, dunno.

Penny tiles again.

Thanks everyone. I am using a adept sometime-fashioned tile nipper which is the simply thing that works about of the time for cutting 1/three off, which will likely work for my project. I could likely file off more than if I demand it. Whatever advice on what to use for that? I don't need to be that precise because I'1000 intending to wainscot the wall and embrace the edges. I went to Hd with a sample tile and tried a manual cutter which didn't work and really want to keep all my digits intact so avoiding the wetsaw - a contractor friend used one with his pennies simply he'southward a bit handier (or possibly just crazier) than me. I idea is that potentially if the tile nippers came wider than 5/8" (which I haven't constitute) and then perchance they wouldnt split the tiles at 3/four" diameter? Does that make any sense? Cheers.

I'd exist interested in hearing some stories, cause I don't see how you could cut off a finger with a tile saw.

I just don't trust myself. Anyways, I just wanted to post my "eureka" moment. I just gear up the nippers off to one end of the tile 1/two-way through and it splits near-perfect everytime. I feel pretty silly at this indicate but thank yous all for your communication.

Glad to hear the snips work, which is not actually a surprise. They can take some getting used to to go the feel of them, and are a conditioning for the forearms.

Dlas,
For exposed cuts using your nippers, pre-score the glaze using a drinking glass cut tool. With the glaze scored, the tile should snap with a much cleaner line.
All-time of luck,
